Sound Level Meters and Noise Dosimeters for Noise at Work Measurements
Noise at Work, Occupational Noise and Industrial Hygiene measurements cover a wide range of applications but the primary aim is to measure the noise exposure of employees and to protect them from hearing damage.
Our range of sound level meters and noise dosimeters cover every application but to help you get the information you need to comply with the Noise at Work Regulations, we’ve selected a selected a range of key products to help you meet the requirements of the Noise at Work Regulations.
Optimus Sound Level Meters
The optimus sound level meters are a range of high performance instruments which use the very latest technology to give you a simple way to measure noise levels.
The optimus red series have been designed specifically for noise at work and occupational noise measurements and give you all of the functions needed to meet the Noise at Work Regulations. All of the functions are measured at the same time with VoiceTag audio recording to allow you to take notes quickly and simply.
The optimus sound level meters meet the BS EN 61672-1:2003 standard as required by the Noise at Work Regulations and are accurate to Class 2 or Class 1 (depending upon the version) and can be calibrated using an Acoustic Calibrator. All of the noise parameters required by the noise at work regulations are provided with all of the functions measured at the same time.
A measurement kit is the ideal solution as this contains the Sound Level Meter, an Acoustic Calibrator, Windshield and a Carrying Case along with any associated accessories such as software and download cables

doseBadge Personal Noise Dosimeter
There are many situations where there is a need to accurately assess the risk of exposure to high noise levels and to continually monitor any employees who are exposed to potentially damaging noise.
Workers who move between different locations, or where their noise exposure pattern changes throughout the day are very difficult to assess using traditional methods. Machinery or moving equipment can also present problems to those responsible for carrying out risk assessments and noise exposure measurements.
The doseBadge is the ideal tool to carry out these tasks as it has no cables, controls, displays or fragile external microphones.
The doseBadge is the original wireless personal noise dosimeter and is the ideal instrument for personal noise exposure measurements. The doseBadge will measure, store and calculate the parameters essential for compliance with the Noise at Work Regulations including LAeq, LCPeak & LEP,d. Along with these overall values, the doseBadge will store a Time History, or Noise Profile, throughout the measurement.
